All Finns finished in the top 30 in the women’s sprint at the Biathlon World Cup.

The Finnish biathletes were again in good spirits when the World Cup season continued after the Christmas break in Germany’s Oberhof with the women’s speed competition.
Suvi Minkkinen was fifth as the best Finn. He cleared the prone shooting position cleanly, but had to go around one penalty round after the standing position.
Minkkinen missed France, who won the competition Paula Botetfrom 47.8 seconds.
Zeros shot from both shooting locations Sonja Leinamo reached the best ranking of his career in the World Cup, being eighth. His gap to the top was 54.4 seconds
Venla Lehtonen ranked 23rd. He also opened his competition with a zero shooting, but the result was three missed shots from the second shooting position.
Two penalty rounds after prone shooting Inka Hämäläinen was 30th in the competition.
Both men’s and women’s pursuit races are scheduled for Saturday.
On Friday, there will be a men’s sprint in Oberhof.
