The government site Rappel Conso warns of an ongoing product recall on Reblochons sold throughout France until January 14, 2023. Here are the references of the recalled cheeses and the reason.

It is the star cheese of winter and the essential ingredient for a tartiflette, one of the favorite dishes of the French when the temperatures drop: reblochon. This ally of restaurants at altitude and ski resorts is the subject of a product recall present on the government site Reminder Conso.Gouv.fr since the start of the week. One brand in particular is concerned: Pochat et Fils, which is very present in French supermarkets.

It is advisable not to consume the product due to the risk of food poisoning due to the possible presence of staphylococci. The consumer is exposed to gastrointestinal disorders with vomiting in the hours following ingestion of the contaminated Reblochon.

Reblochon marketed between December 26, 2022 and January 14, 2023 in several supermarket brands under the name “Petit reblochon de Savoie AOP au lait cru” of the Pochat et Fils brand is affected. Here is the list of supermarkets affected by this Reblochons Pochat et Fils product recall:

Another Reblochon reference is affected by this product recall: the one under the mention “Reblochon Savoie and Haute-Savoie au lait cru” under the “Pays gourmand” brand and sold at Aldi between December 20, 2022 and January 13, 2023. This Reblochon then bears the mention of the lot “225395124” and with the barcode “26065076”. If you have these products in your refrigerator, it is advisable to bring it back to the store.
