T’Challa’s son may also become a new Black Panther in the MCU
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is about how Shuri gradually becomes successor to her late brother becomes. Before the final fight, she slips into the Black Panther costume herself with new superpowers.
However, it has been clear for some time that in the MCU a Young Avengers team is prepared. With characters like Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) from the Hawkeye series, Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) from the Ant-Man franchise and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, some of them have already been introduced or have their first appearances soon.
Shuri is now officially a new Black Panther, but the son of T’Challa and Nakia makes a good choice Heir to the Wakanda throne. So we may see young T’Challa again in the MCU soon, following in his father’s footsteps. This also fits the second new Rihanna song after the credits scene, the born again is called and thematically can be understood as a hymn of rebirth. So Wakanda Forever is not just a farewell, but a new beginning on several levels.
