Minnesota’s Teemu Pukki scored four goals in the MLS match against the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Minnesota United Teemu Pukki was in a great scoring mood in the North American Football League. Pukki scored no less than four goals in the Los Angeles Galaxy’s net. Minnesota celebrated a 5–2 victory in the match.
The match progressed in a 1-1 situation until the end of the first half, until the Pukki show got started. Pukki gave Minnesota a 2–1 lead just before the break.
Pukki scored his second goal in the 60th minute with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area. The hat trick was completed in the 67th minute and the fourth goal came from a drive through in the 76th minute.
Pukki made club history, as he is the first Minnesota United player to score four goals in one match.
Pukki has scored ten goals in the 13 MLS matches he has played. The right goal streak is also good news for the Huuhkajs, when Finland meets Slovenia next week in the extremely important European Championship qualifying match.
With the win, Minnesota moved to within a point of the MLS Western Conference playoff spot. The loss was heavy for Los Angeles, as its dreams of the playoffs crumbled.
