Koba LaD was sentenced this Monday by the Melun judicial court to 15 months in prison for physically attacking his historic manager.
In pre-trial detention since the fatal accident which occurred on September 10 in Créteil, in Val-de-Marne, during which his passenger, William Dogber, lost his life, Koba LaD, who was then positive for narcotics and has since been indicted for “aggravated manslaughter” and “aggravated involuntary injuries”, his fate was determined this Monday, January 13, in a completely different case. The Melun judicial court thus sentenced him to 15 months in prison for violence with total incapacity for work (ITT) of more than eight days against his ex-producer, reports The Parisian. A sentence greater than the requisitions. One year in prison had in fact been requested. On the other hand, the rapper was acquitted of charges of theft and kidnapping. For their part, his three co-defendants were acquitted.
Tried last November with several of his relatives, Koba LaD was accused in this case of violence and kidnapping of having organized a bloody expedition against Deuspi, his very first manager, whom he accused of having stolen a large part of his money. “A complaint for one million euros in damages is still being investigated,” recalled one of the star’s lawyers during the trial.
Deuspi suspected of stealing money for years
The facts date back to April 2022. That morning, the rapper and his gang returned very early from a show given in Lille when Koba LaD discovered that his bank account was no longer very full. For him, it’s obvious: his childhood friend Deuspi, who is his historical producer, has been stealing money from him for years. Deuspi is therefore taken by the rapper and his relatives to a warehouse in Corbeil-Essonnes where he is cheerfully beaten up.
Then, head to his home where Deuspi’s partner and his little brother are. “Deuspi stole my money,” Koba LaD would have said to Sarah, now separated from the ex-manager. According to the young woman’s statements during the trial, the manager was asked to pay “60,000 then 80,000 and finally 200,000 euros”, relates The Parisian. After another beating, Deuspi then received several stab wounds. “They wanted him to transfer money using the computer, but every time he got the password wrong, he was stabbed,” it is reported. If Koba LaD admitted to the judges a fight with his historic manager on April 18, 2022, he nevertheless always denied any kidnapping, recalls RTL.
