Former US President Donald Trump has officially accepted the Republican Party’s presidential nomination. Trump made his first public speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee following the assassination attempt he suffered during his campaign rally on July 13.
“NOT FOR HALF OF AMERICA”
Trump said, “I accept the nomination to be the president of all of America, not just half of America,” and emphasized that winning only half of America is not a success.
“With faith, loyalty and pride, I accept your candidacy for President of the United States,” Trump said.
“A NEW ERA WILL BEGIN”
Trump stated that they will achieve a great victory in November, that a new era of security will begin for everyone, and that the divisions within society must be “healed.”
Trump, who detailed his experiences during the assassination attempt, said, “Despite this horrific attack, we stand together tonight with unity and determination. I am more determined than ever before.”
