Firefighters worked at the scene to try to contain the fire, which was raging at the south end of the house. No one was injured in the fire.
– It was a passerby walking his dog who raised the alarm, says Conny Sundberg, operations leader.
Units from Lysvik, Sunne and Gräsmark were on site.
Succeeded in extinguishing the fire
The fire is out but the force is breaking up the floor to see if there are any embers left.
– It was a very nice school hall which is now destroyed, it probably cannot be saved, says Yngve Nilsson.
The image archive must have made it.
– We have had the doors closed there so there is only a slight spread of smoke there, says Sundberg.
Task leader Sundberg suspects that the fire may have been caused by an electric element, but says that it is still a little too early to determine that.
