Finnish skier Markus Vuorela fell really violently at the skiing world cup in Goms, Switzerland. Vuorela had to stop the 20 km freestyle race.

Finnish men’s team coach Ville Oksanen offered only a brief update on Vuorela’s situation.

– I didn’t see the fall, but I heard that it was quite violent. I saw Markus quickly. Markus goes for further studies. Let’s see what the situation is. The athlete then, of course, decides what he wants to tell the outside afterwards. It is difficult to speculate at the moment, Oksanen said.

Will he be able to go to further studies on his own two feet?

– I only saw him when he was on board.

Swedish newspaper Expressen by Vuorela was taken away by an ambulance helicopter. Oksanen specified to the Swedish newspaper that Vuorela was conscious and able to speak.

Norwegian Johannes Hösflot Kläbo celebrated his second win of the weekend again with the power of the ferocious Kiri. He defeated his compatriot Simen Hegstad Krüger at the end. The Finns were the best Perttu Hyvärinen. He was 17.

The Ski Federation announced in the evening that Vuorela has been released from the hospital and will travel back to Finland with the rest of the team.
