In Starfield there is a trait for your character that allows you to troll NPCs and drive them to despair.
What are features in Starfield?
What feature is it? The “Extrovert” trait turns your character into a person who enjoys being around other people and loves company. It also improves your oxygen consumption when you travel with other people and worsens it when you travel alone.
As Reddit user “EarlGrey_Picard” showed in a clip, an extroverted character also receives his own lines of dialogue that are perfect for trolling NPCs.
In the clip, the player can be seen encountering an armed guard who is looking for a suspicious person who matches the description of the player character. The dialogue that then starts offers various options such as attacking or convincing the guard that they have the wrong person.
Additionally, there is a dialogue option marked with the trait “extrovert” in which the guard replies, “I don’t fit the description. You fit the description.”
This is followed by an exchange of words in which both sides repeatedly reply, “No, you fit the description,” whereupon the player character draws the conclusion: If they both fit the description, they must be twins.
At the end of the conversation, the NPC is so confused that he no longer knows what the two of them were actually talking about. He then simply lets the player walk.
How does the community react? The Reddit user himself posted the funny clip with the question “Wait, so this is how extroverts get ahead in life?”
Other users share their enthusiasm for the feature and the resulting dialogue on Reddit:
Another funny interaction in Starfield had a player with the robot Vasco, who made a joke about the player:
