What if Dead Island 2 made its big comeback at gamescom 2022? At least that’s what Tom Henderson, video game journalist but also insider who does not hesitate to leak any information, even under embargo. According to him, Deep Silver intends to do things big since the game should be unveiled during the opening night of the German show on August 23rd. Very plausible information, especially since Amazon leaked the cover of the game, with all the technical sheet announcing that the game will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series. Video game Arlesian, Dead Island had been announced at E3 2014 and was even playable behind closed doors (we had played it at the time) before the game was put aside by a Deep Silver unhappy with the result. The development of the game passed through the hands of several studios: Techland to begin with, then it was Yager who inherited the project before being withdrawn from production and ending up at Sumo Digital. In 2019, we learned that it was Dambuster Studios who had recovered the hot potato. 2022 will therefore be the year of the unexpected comeback.
