A fan favorite’s shocking past is revealed

After some turmoil behind the scenes, director James Gunn got back into production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and was able to finish this year what he started with the first part in 2014. For many, the third part is a worthy conclusion that once again great soundtrack and successful gags offers. Although the plot is unusually serious this time, it didn’t hurt the end of the trilogy.

    In March 2017 it was officially announced for the first time that a third part was being planned, but the Production didn’t begin until four and a half years later in November 2021. Director and screenwriter James Gunn’s controversial tweets delayed the start. Although he initially fired from Disney the team was behind him and so Disney brought Gunn back on board in 2019.

    In an interview with Moviepilot, James Gunn reported on his emotional state at the time and gives exciting insights in the preparation and filming of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
