While many Dwayne Johnson films are savaged by critics, the action star would never badmouth a project of his own. With few exceptions. It’s on TV today a film that even The Rock can’t approve of. Baywatch almost completely failed the review (via Metacritic). The thin figure drawing, the aimless plot and the sexist depiction of women’s bodies. In the end, the film won the Golden Raspberry Anti-Oscar. And Dwayne Johnson was surprisingly happy to accept the award.

In his speech he cheerfully compared the film to a “Shit sandwich and declared: “Baywatch had the best of intentions, but it just didn’t work out“. The Baywatch revival petered out with the quality of the film.
