Always have at home.
Too heavy meals, viruses… There are several causes of stomach ache and stomach pain. But when their symptoms appear, they are very unpleasant. Bloating, tightness, feelings of heaviness and even burning in the stomach are painful. If the first thing to do is to put the intestinal sphere to rest by stopping eating and drinking, there are also some natural remedies that can help overcome these bad times.
Among them, plant infusions that help digest, absorb gas and reduce swelling. But also essential oils. Of course, they must be used with caution and always respecting the dosages given by specialists, but when you know how to use them and which ones to choose, they can really do some good.
When it comes to the intestinal sphere, according to Sophie Pihan, naturopath and member of the French Federation of Naturopathy (La FENA), “the best essential oil in cases of intestinal pain, stomach cramps and digestive spasms is l Roman chamomile essential oil is one of the best oils for relieving digestive system problems in general. It is an essential oil that is easily found in pharmacies, drugstores and brands dedicated to well-being and which is pleasant to use because it smells good.
The best way to relieve stomach pain, according to the specialist, is to practice self-massage at the solar plexus, which is located at the level of the stomach, under the sternum and the ribs. For this massage, mix a drop of essential oil with a tablespoon of vegetable oil, such as sweet almond, avocado or jojoba oil. Heat the mixture in the palm of your hands and perform a self-massage of the stomach following the direction of digestion (clockwise).
In case of heartburn, use a neutral tablet, which is a food support to be taken internally, onto which a drop of Roman chamomile essential oil must be poured. You can also take it by mixing it with a teaspoon of olive oil or honey for example. In case of colic in children, preferably use Roman chamomile floral water. Essential oils should not be used by children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, as a precaution, without medical advice.
