A driver in England has been driving without a license

An 84-year-old driver in Notthingham, England, has been driving without a license for 72 years.

According to Notthingham police, the driver, whose name has not been released, was stopped by traffic crews on Wednesday evening, alerted by the automatic license plate recognition system (ANPR).

The driver told police that he had been driving without a license since he was 12 and had never been stopped by the police in his life.

According to the police, the driver did not have any insurance on his vehicle, either.

“NEVER HAS AN ACCIDENTS”

“We couldn’t believe what happened. The driver, born in 1938, confessed to driving without a license and insurance since he was 12 years old. And somehow he was never stopped by the police,” the Notthingham Police Facebook post said.

It is stated that the driver has never been involved in an accident or damaged other vehicles with his car.

However, police officials drew attention to the widespread use of ANPR cameras and warned that illegal drivers could one day be caught.

It was not disclosed whether the driver was fined.

Under UK law, the penalty for driving without a license can be up to £1,000.

It is stated that drivers can face up to 14 years in prison if their vehicle causes injury or death to a person.
