Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to Malung now that Dance Band Week is running again after the pandemic years.
Over 80 dance bands will play on the various dance floors during the week and on Sunday evening the week began with the Golden Clave Gala.
The gala has existed since the year 2000 and is likened to a Grammy gala for dance bands where, among other things, the Dance Band of the Year has been nominated.
But due to the pandemic, the dance bands have not been able to be out and play and therefore this year six prizes were awarded, some of them in completely new categories such as Livestream of the Year.
