30 minutes of House of the Dragon season 2 finale leaked: Thousands of fans spoiled
As Variety reports, there was an extensive leak of the final House of the Dragon episode of season 2 on the night of Tuesday, July 30, 2024. A TikTok account has 14 Videos of the as yet unreleased episode, which has a total running time of 30 minutes.
According to Variety, the videos viewed between 50,000 and 100,000 timesbefore the TikTok account was blocked about three hours after publication. In the meantime, however, the videos are said to have landed on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit.

Season 1 of House of the Dragon already had to deal with leaks
The first season of House of the Dragon also faced a similar problem: Two days before the first broadcast of the season finale in October 2022, material from the episode made it onto the Internet. According to HBO, the leak was caused by distributors of the series in Europe, Asia and Africa, as Variety writes.
As a precautionary measure, no screeners of the season 2 finale were released to the press and journalists in advance. How the leak came about is not yet known.
The finale of House of the Dragon Season 2 will air on the night of 4 to 5 August 2024 on WOW in the streaming subscription.
