A day of Remembrance: Honoring Norfolk’s fallen soldiers

The Carillon Tower in Simcoe carries the names of those soldiers from the county who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

A plaque on Norfolk’s war memorial reads: “This Carillon Tower has been placed here with the hope that it may long stand in ever growing honor and unfading gratitude to our men of Norfolk who laid down their lives in the Great War 1914-1918.

The memorial also includes the names of those who died in the Second World War and the Afghanistan conflict.
