Windows 11 version 22H2 might have found a release date. This major update is the most important since the launch of this version of Microsoft’s OS released last year.
Users who are eagerly awaiting the major Windows 11 22H2 update will soon be rewarded. According to our colleagues from Windows Central and The Verge, Microsoft could officially launch the deployment of the new version of its OS from September 20.
Important new features expected for Windows 11
If Windows 11 22H2 is already available for members of the Insiders program, it will take a few more weeks for the general public to download this update directly from Windows Update. The September 20 date has not been officially confirmed by Microsoft, but sources seem reliable. Also note that this is a roll out start date and not everyone should receive the update on this date.
This 22H2 version is the most important for Windows 11 since its launch. Microsoft plans to integrate many new features such as folders in the start menu to classify your applications and keep a clean interface. It is also the great return of drag and drop on the taskbar which had disappeared with the arrival of Windows 11. Software already makes it possible to restore this functionality, but its native return remains good news for many users. .
Among the other novelties, we will find the fast connection to Bluetooth from the settings panel (as is currently the case for Wi-Fi), but also a new, more modern task manager, simplified window docking, new touch navigation gestures or automatic subtitles locally on your PC. The launch of “moments” and new Surface products
After this major update, Microsoft could speed up the pace by offering “moments” which are in fact less important updates that can be used to integrate features on a more ad hoc basis. According to Android Central, folders in the Start menu could be one of them. All this is of course to be taken with a grain of salt as long as the American giant has not formalized anything.
The Verge also reports that Microsoft could take advantage of the 10 years of the Surface brand to introduce new products by the end of the year, as was the case last year with the presentation of the Surface Duo 2. We already know that Microsoft will hold its annual “Ignite” conference for professionals from October 12 to 14 in Seattle. The opportunity for the company to present new products?
