A current anime takes first place among the best animes of all time, ahead of Fullmetal Alchemist and Attack on Titan

A particularly popular anime was released this season, which catapulted itself to number 1 among the best anime of all time by the end of its broadcast. Freeze: After Journey’s End is currently overtaking all other anime – even bombshells like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Attack on Titan.

How does the placement come about? The ranking can be found on the My Anime List page. There are numerous animes in the database that users can rate. As of now, Freezing has a rating of 9.18/10, putting it ahead of the following anime:

  • 2nd place: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (9.09)
  • 3rd place: Steins;Gate (9.07)
  • 4th place: Gintamao (9.06)
  • 5th place: Attack on Titan (9.05)
  • The ranking is updated twice per day and is subject to change at these times. But at the moment Frieren is defending first place by a large margin.

A formula is used to calculate the rating, in which the average rating is normalized to the votes cast. Accordingly, it’s not a bad thing that only just under 600,000 votes were cast for Frieren, but 3.3 million votes were cast for anime like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

If you haven’t seen Frozen yet, you definitely have to catch up on the anime. The following trailer proves why:

We follow the adventures of elf magician Frieren, who defeated the Demon King together with her group of adventurers. After the victory, Frieren embarked on a journey that lasted 50 years.

When she returned, she discovered that her human companions were on the verge of death due to their age. Friieren regrets not having gotten to know her colleagues better. That’s why she wants to repeat her trip and is looking for an equally colorful group.
