If you are interested in shooters, this trailer could be exciting for you:
What defines the Doom RPG? The developer Fountainhead Entertainment released Doom RPG as a mobile game in 2005.
Unlike the other games in the series, Doom RPG is not a typical shooter but, as the name suggests, an RPG. It goes through the world of Doom in dungeon crawler style. Attentive players can find secret rooms here.
The weapons and characters come from the previous games in the Doom series. The player character is equipped with axes and firearms and eliminates the enemies that appear.
The opponents in the game spawn one after the other and are fought in individual rounds. One action is possible per round.
For example, moving the player character or using a weapon counts as an action. After each player action, each opponent in the room also performs an action.
Things like turning in a different direction and switching weapons count as free actions. So Doom RPG is roughly based on well-known, analogue systems such as Dungeons & Dragons.
Interesting elements that the game emphasizes are dialogues and storytelling. So there are many conversations with NPCs and the player can read e-mails at the terminals, through which small stories are built.
What do Doom fans say about this? The Doom community was looking forward to reddit (via reddit). For some, the remake takes them back to when they first played Doom RPG.
