Earlier in the evening, the father of the victims was transported to Etampes hospital by emergency services after a car accident in which the man allegedly hit a tree. Treated by medical staff for his minor injuries and under the influence of alcohol, the individual declared having stabbed his two children to death, again according to the newspaper.
The father specified the location where the bodies of the two victims were located: in the trunk of a car located near a recycling center near the scene of the accident. After these confession-like statements, the man was arrested and taken into custody by the gendarmes, adds the Ile-de-France newspaper. The indications given by the suspect on the location of the car made it possible to find the bodies of the two little victims after a few hours of organized searches between Essonne and Yvelines. According to information from BFMTV, the victims were found in a field. “The bodies showed signs of stab wounds to the chest for one and to the neck for the other,” a source close to the investigation told Parisian. Other searches were carried out in the family of the arrested man, in Guyancourt and Elancourt in Yvelines. The suspect’s wife was found alive at her sister’s home. The couple are said to have a complicated relationship, with the man accusing his wife of cheating on him for seven years.
