A convicted and banned cheater works as team boss, hires 2nd cheater as head coach

The Danish team Sashi Esport wants to restart in Counter-Strike: Global-Offensive (Steam). For this you rely on 2 people who are controversial in the community. Because both are convicted cheaters and blocked by Valve. The community sees this critically.

Which two people does the team rely on?

  • The team relies on Allan “Rejin” Petersen (35, Denmark): He joined Team Sahsi on June 30 as Sport Director. Rejin is permanently barred from participating in any major tournament sponsored by Valve.
  • The new head coach will be Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen (32, Denmark). DOGS may not participate in any major tournament until PLG Copenhagen 2024 is over.

Both involved in CS:GO scandal, trainer even banned twice for a long time

Why did they get these bans? In 2020 it became known that some professional coaches had been exploiting a bug in CS:GO for years that had been circulating among professional coaches since at least 2017.

Known as the “Spectator” bug, this bug allowed coaches to move the camera freely in CS:GO, giving them unfair tactical advantages over their opponents.

Back then, 37 coaches were banned from CS:GO.

DOGS is particularly controversial in the community: it was banned a second time for 2 years in 2021 because it was involved in another scandal. He was accused of betraying his old team to get a job with a new team:

  • Therefore, he had handed over his team’s secret strategies to a competitor.
  • He blocked his own team members from accessing the folder with the team’s strategies.
  • For this he was banned from CS:GO for 2 years. But apparently, despite these scandals, the Dane keeps getting new jobs. When he found a new job in January 2023, HUNDEN’s new team was harshly criticized for hiring him.

Why is the team signing the two now? The team is confident in the quality of the two individuals and now wants to entrust them with rebuilding the team before CS2 comes out and CS:GO regains popularity.

Rejin says about the obligation of DOGS:

  • We have known each other for years and have worked together before
  • It’s exciting that he’s been recruited to represent Sashi
  • It was the logical choice to hire him
  • At the moment the team only has one player under contract. The task of HUNDEN and Rejin will probably be to find new players.

    “One cheater hires another”

How is this discussed? The fact that one cheater, the sports director, hires the other, the coach, and greets him with warm words is already being maliciously commented on reddit.

There is talk of “a shame that this man is still being paid”.

Valve is known for cracking down on cheaters:
