Donald Trump’s supporters suspect that Laura Loomer, seen in the company of the ex-president, has fed her special conspiracy theories to him.
running for president of the United States Donald Trump’s Conspiracy theorists have started appearing more and more often in the party in recent weeks Laura Loomer.
This week Loomer flew with Trump to Tuesday’s election debate vice president Terrible Harris against and escorted Trump to the September 11 terrorist attack commemoration on Thursday.
This has caused some of Trump’s supporters and campaign staff to worry, they say, among other things news channel CNN and the New York Times newspaper.
They say Trump has begun echoing Loomer’s extreme claims, which could alienate moderate voters.
For example, during the election debate, Trump falsely claimed that immigrants were eating people’s pets in Springfield, Ohio.
Laura Loomer had spread the claim in the previous days on social media. However, Trump’s vice presidential candidate had also done the same JD Vance.
According to a CNN source, Loomer had also fed Trump the claim that Kamala Harris has only recently called herself black.
Trump faced heavy criticism when he repeated the claim in August and again in a campaign debate.
Accounts closed on social media
31-year-old Laura Loomer has been spreading her conspiracy theories for years in far-right circles that support Trump.
He has presented himself as an “investigative journalist”, which has meant, for example, harassing Trump’s opponents on the street.
Loomer’s accounts have been closed due to conspiracy theories on Facebook and Instagram.
In 2018, Loomer chained himself to the front door of Twitter’s New York office after his account was deleted, says NBC News. When Elon Musk purchased the service, his account was reinstated.
Loomer has become close to Trump’s inner circle over the past year.
In August of last year, Trump praised Loomer’s opinions in a video that Loomer had filmed after visiting Trump’s golf club, says Fox News.
At the time, Trump considered making Loomer an assistant as well, but Trump’s other aides dissuaded him from the idea.
In January, Loomer traveled with Trump to Iowa, where the first Republican primaries were held.
Recently, she has been spending a lot of time at Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago.
Loomer’s claims too much even for extreme Republicans
Donald Trump has also spread a lot of conspiracy theories over the years, for example the president Barack Obama’s of descent.
Still, Loomer’s claims are in a class of their own.
Among other things, he has claimed that the terrorist attack of September 11 was carried out by the US administration and that the president Joe Biden was behind Trump’s assassination attempt.
Loomer has also made many derogatory comments about Muslims and immigrants.
This week, Loomer joked that the White House would start to smell like curry with the victory of Indian-born Kamala Harris. This even got a member of the extreme wing of the Republicans By Marjorie Taylor Greene to start
– This is disgusting and extremely racist, Taylor Greene wrote on the messaging service X.
The close relationship between Loomer and Trump has also given weapons to the ex-president’s opponents.
– No leader should associate with someone who spreads such ugly and racist venom, White House spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday.
