Anchor Perttu Reponen solved his part of the world championship for the Finnish team.
The Finnish combined team has won 4×5 kilometers of gold at the World Championships in Youth in Zakopane, Poland.
Finland participated in the competition with the team Waltteri Karhumaa, Arsi Tietäväinen, Eelis Meriläinen and Perttu Reponen. Silver was won by Norway and bronze by Austria.
Finland left the skiing section a minute and 15 seconds behind Norway. Finland already caught Norway with Tietäväinen’s leg, but Reponen had to leave for the last leg 13 seconds behind Norway.
In the end, Reponen skied to the finish line 6.5 seconds ahead of the Norwegian anchor. Austria was almost 51 seconds behind Finland.
