Between this sublimely choreographed ballet and the acrobatics of Mark Dacascos, this sequence has remained as strong as ever in 2022. Precisely, Metropolitan Films has decided to bring the film back to the cinema in its long version and above all restored 4K from next June 10. Obviously, knowing Christophe Gans, we imagine that it was he who supervised this reissue which will also be screened at the Cannes Film Festival in a few weeks. It will be Thursday, May 19 at 9:30 p.m. at the Cinéma de la plage in the presence of Christophe Gans and Samuel Le Bihan. Obviously, it will also be an opportunity to review the final fight where Vincent Cassel’s character suddenly starts pulling out a sword that is reminiscent of Ivy’s weapon in SoulCalibur.
