The Elden Ring DLC also includes a series of quests in which you will meet various NPCs. One of them has particularly caught the attention of the community.
Which NPC is it? We’re talking about Igon, a strange guy you can meet in the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. He also has his own quest, just like Thiollier or Ymir.
When you first meet him at the Place of Mercy “Waypoint at the Colonnade”, you will probably hear him before you see him. Because Igon is lying on the ground a little way from the save point and is screaming in pain.
As it turns out, he is a dragon warrior who wants to complete his last mission. His target is Bayle, a fearsome dragon who is responsible for Igon being paralyzed and living in fear.
If you listen to him, you will hear how tormented the poor guy is. He moans and cries, but it is already clear that beneath the fragile surface lies great anger.

What’s next for Igon? If you follow his quest, you will end up in the boss fight against the dragon Bayle. Igon has previously given you a finger that can be used to summon him during the fight.
When he appears in the arena, Igon doesn’t waste any time. Full of anger, he curses the dragon and shouts: “Curse you, Bayle!”
Igon makes it clear how much he hates his enemy. He wants to pierce his “rotten skin” and screams at the top of his lungs. With his help, you will hopefully be able to defeat the boss.
The players have now learned to love the tragic raging man and celebrate him and the speaker who gives the character his voice.

What do the players think? While Igon initially stands out mainly because of his strange-sounding whining, he has also won over many players with his eccentric nature.
The NPC’s voice actor, Richard Lintern, is particularly praised. The account @EldenRingHQ on X.com says he is the voice actor of the year.
For user @blood_gutters on X.com, Igon’s performance is even the “best performance in a Souls game.” The way Igon screams and doesn’t want to stop is simply amazing.
