Between 8 and 16 May, a hundred residents of the municipality of Zeist discussed how the turn of the year can be a party that everyone can enjoy. A difficult question, because the theme of fireworks in particular has been the subject of much debate for years. One wants to let it off indefinitely, the other wants a ban. Ultimately, the citizens’ council came up with five recommendations, including a central fireworks show and fireworks-free zones.
