– We have found a car in the water, but not any people, says Gustaf Sandell, officer on duty at the rescue service.
He adds that divers are still in the water and continuing to search the harbor basin.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear.
“I don’t have a good idea of how the accident happened and when in time it might have happened,” says Gustaf Sandell.
The alarm about the incident was received by the police at 17:43 on Thursday. The south quay in Industrihamnen has been blocked off while the rescue operation is underway.
