A Canadian warship has sailed through the Taiwan Strait, where military tensions between China and Taiwan are high.
– In accordance with the strategy of the Indo-Pacific region, the Canadian Navy will increase its presence in the region, Canada’s Minister of Defense Bill Blair commented on Wednesday.
The Halifax-class frigate HMCS Montréal “recently completed a routine transit through the Taiwan Strait,” the Canadian Armed Forces announced earlier in the day, without specifying the time of the sailing.
