A Californian lottery winner won a 1.3 billion jackpot – this is where the ticket was sold | News in brief

The probability of winning the jackpot with this game mode is one in over 300 million.

This is the fifth largest pot of that draw.

The coupon was sold at a store called Sunshine Food and Gas Circle K, the owner of which Ishar Gill told the news agency Reuters that he was satisfied with the support given to the store by the customers in the surrounding area.

– We are super excited that Cottonwood is making national headlines and being found on the map, Gill said.

The lottery jackpot had swelled to a large size because no one had gotten six numbers right in the previous 30 rounds. The winning amount of the previous round would have been 1.269 billion dollars.

The probability of winning the main prize with this draw is one in 302,575,350.

In California, the big jackpot was distributed in 2022 at 2.04 billion dollars.
