A bug turns the most harmless enemy into a deadly trap

There are many enemies in Diablo 4 that can kill you quickly or by surprise. Actually, the Treasure Goblin isn’t one of them. However, due to a bug, suddenly appearing Treasure Goblins lead to the surprising end of many players.

What are Treasure Goblins? Actually, as a player in Diablo 4, you are happy about the treasure goblins. They can spawn randomly and drop a large amount of loot when killed. They don’t really defend themselves, but try to flee from you. If you are too slow, they will disappear through a portal.

However, as we reported, one hardcore gamer died from such a goblin. He easily killed the enemy, but the Death Pulse ability threw a spanner in the works. This ability spawns a lightning field on the ground that deals damage.

The streamer’s level 85 sorceress died instantly and he didn’t have a chance to react. Due to the hardcore mode he was playing, his highly advanced character was gone forever. You can find out more here:

It is probably a dangerous bug for players

However, many players consider the combination of Death Pulse and Treasure Goblin to be a bug. On the official Blizzard forums, players are reporting their stories with this combination and are finding the one-shot their characters are receiving unusual.

  • faraddox: I had full health and steel from not taking damage. The moment he died, my character died too.
  • The user suspects that Goblin’s Death Pulse would deal way more damage than it should. Above all, the user reports that in his Hall of Fallen Heroes it says that an unknown enemy is said to have killed his character. This also speaks for a bug.

What does Blizzard say about this? As Kotaku reports, it is indeed a bug and Blizzard is aware of the bug. The error should be fixed in one of the next patches before the start of the first season.

The most dangerous opponent in Diablo 4 is the other way around. The butcher is actually a dangerous encounter, but players can easily trick the boss:
