The alarm came at 5.30 pm and the case is classified as attempted murder.
– A minor boy who can be suspected of being the perpetrator has been assigned a legal assistant, says Lars Persson who is acting local police area chief.
– The boy has been interrogated, but since then he has been released on bail given his young age.
That a person can be suspected of a crime is the lowest degree of suspicion.
The police state that the victim and the suspect are not related, but do not want, for investigative reasons, to go into what relationship they both have to each other or how injured the girl is.
During the investigation work, the Skellefteå police will be strengthened by the police department for serious crimes in Umeå.
The girl has been taken to Norrland University Hospital in Umeå for treatment.
The assassination attempt is the second on a person under the age of 15 in Skellefteå in a short time. Just over a week ago, a 12-year-old boy was attacked by a 16-year-old boy.
– There is no connection between the events, but it is very rare that we get to investigate this type of crime. The fact that there are two people under the age of 15 at the latest event, I would like to say, is completely unique in Skellefteå, says Lars Persson.
