A big comeback and two new stars in the jury

The 14th edition of The Voice on TF1, in 2025, was announced as the return of Florent Pagny to the red chairs, but also the first for two singing stars…

The 2025 edition of The Voice was the subject of a press release from TF1 in mid-September 2024, with some sensational announcements. For this new season, the production decided to mark a turning point by changing the format, welcoming new personalities to the panel of coaches and strengthening the emotional dimension of the program.

Among the notable figures of this 2025 season of The Voice, the return of Florent Pagny sparked great emotion as soon as it was announced by the producers. After his fight against cancer, which had for a time increased concern about his state of health, the singer and historic coach of the program was able to reassure his fans again by returning to the casting. Alongside him, two new emblematic voices of French song, Patricia Kaas and Zaz, also joined the adventure, alongside Vianney who signed up for another season.

Two new coaches and changes

In addition to the returns of Florent Pagny and Vianney in The Voice, it was above all the arrival of the two new stars that caused a sensation during the presentation of this new season. For the first time in the history of the show, two new emblematic female voices are joining the famous red chairs, with Patricia Kaas and Zaz.

Patricia Kaas, a legend of French song with a 37-year career and over 20 million albums sold worldwide, international tours and prestigious collaborations with artists such as Jean-Jacques Goldman and Renaud, is a major acquisition for TF1. “I want to convey to talents the importance of the stage, of true emotion. Being authentic is what matters most,” she confided during the announcement. For her part, Zaz, revealed in 2010 with her hit “Je veux”, is supposed to bring freshness and spontaneity to the program, sometimes in need of renewal. And perhaps also a younger audience…

The Voice 2025 edition also shows some upheavals in the unfolding of the stages, even if the exact details still remain secret. The production has bet on a new set and innovative visual elements.

The program

The Voice is a television show broadcast on TF1 since 2012. It is an adaptation of the Dutch talent show The Voice of Holland. Unknown hopefuls of French song come to reveal their talents, first during blind auditions, then in several musical confrontations, before the big winner of the season is chosen by the public. They are judged and supervised by four coaches. Several stars have been revealed thanks to the show, such as Kendji Girac, Slimane, Camille Lellouche, Amir, Fréro Delavega and Louane.

Nikos Aliagas has presented this show since the launch of the program, alongside Karine Ferri from 2013 to 2021. Among the coaches of the show, we have been able to see Florent Pagny, Jenifer, Garou, Louis Bertignac, Mika, Zazie, Matt Pokora, Pascal Obispo, Soprano, Julien Clerc, Amel Bent, Marc LavoineLara Fabian, Vianney, Patrick Fiori or even Nolwenn Leroy and Biglo et Oli. In 2024, the coaches are Vianney, Mika, Zazie, and Bigflo et Oli.

The jury of The Voice 2025 was made official at the end of September 2024. Florent Pagny is making his return after a break due to treatment for lung cancer. He works alongside Vianney, who is returning for one more season, but also two female stars: Zaz and Patricia Kaas, two new faces of the show.

The broadcast date of the first prime of the 2025 season of The Voice is expected. The TF1 talent show is usually scheduled at the beginning of the year, in January or February. Last year, the broadcast of the blind auditions began on February 10.

The finale of season 13 of The Voice, Saturday May 25, 2024 on TF1, named Alphonse the winner. He was the youngest in the competition, aged only 17 and a half. Alphonse and Marc Lavoine notably performed a duet on “Les yeux revolver”, at the beginning of which the singer was heavily criticized for his attitude. Just before this finale of The Voice, the production had to face a last-minute unforeseen event with a withdrawal: that of Adnaé, in the team of Bigflo and Oli. Pregnant, she had decided to withdraw from the show at the fateful moment.

Alphonse beat Baptiste Sartoria in the final. His coach Zazie, emphasizing her age difference with Alphonse, believed that “music can transcend generations.”
