A back problem keeps the Swedish top out of the

Calle Halfvarsson, 35, one of Sweden’s top male skiers, has to miss the cross-country Tour de Ski tour.

Sweden suffered a setback just a couple of days before the start of the cross-country Tour de Ski tour, when one of the top names in the country’s men’s team Calle Halfvarsson had to drop out of the Tour. Halfvarsson has suffered from back problems.

– The rehabilitation has gone well, but completing an entire tour in this situation would be a heavy strain. Especially when the World Cup (in February) is approaching. So now let’s pull the brakes a bit and see if Calle is back in Les Rousses then, national team doctor Rickard Noberius stated, referring to the weekend that continues the World Cup after the Tour in Les Rousses after mid-January.

Halfvarsson will be replaced by the Swedish Tour team Eric Rosjö.
