a AAA survival horror would be in development 1st details

According to the latest indiscretions of Tom Henderson, a AAA survival horror based on the Alien license (code name Marathon) is currently in development. The insider did not manage to identify the studio in charge of the project, but if we are to believe its sources, the idea would be to market the game at the end of 2023 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5 and PC. A priori, the developers would like to draw great inspiration from titles such as Resident Evil and Dead Space, which is rather a good thing when you see the quality of the latest remakes.

With such a rumor, we necessarily think of Alien: Isolation which conquered us in 2014 and which is the last game to have honored the franchise. Exactly, according to Tom Henderson, a sequel to Creative Assembly’s horrific FPS would be, if not in development, at least under discussion with a view to being validated. Again, the studio in charge of the site remains unknown even if choosing Creative Assembly – which recently launched a recruitment campaign for Hyenas, Total War and other unannounced games – would make sense. In any case, Tom Henderson prefers to remain cautious about the existence of an Alien: Isolation 2 and is waiting to have more details on this file.

Finally, let’s not forget that two other Alien titles are in preparation. First there is Aliens which is developed by Survios. Based on the Unreal Engine 5, it will offer a story taking place between Alien, the eighth passenger and Aliens, the return. We will embody a veteran broken in combat and eager to take revenge on the creatures, knowing that it will be possible to play in virtual reality. And then there’s the real-time strategy game Aliens: Dark Descent. Planned for consoles and PC, it is developed by Tindalos Interactive and will notably include five classes of Marines as well as monsters never before seen in the Alien saga.
