GTA V continues to break records with sales
GTA V sales did not stop again in the last quarter and the game continued to sell like cheese bread. It was announced that GTA V, which reached 160 million sales as of December 31, 2021, left 165 million behind in the last quarter. In other words, we see that the production, which has been 9 years since its release, achieved a great success by selling more than 5 million copies in the last quarter.
The total sales of the GTA series have reached 375 million accordingly. Take Two did not provide information on the sales of the GTA V new generation version, which was released in March. We think the sales of this game will probably be reflected in the next quarter report.
Red Dead Redemption 2 sales, on the other hand, reached 44 million sales in total, selling more than two million in the last quarter. Total sales of the series exceeded 67 million.
Take-Two generated $930 million in Q4 revenue, up 11% year-on-year. In the micropayments segment, consumer spending increased by 1%, accounting for 64% of the company’s revenue.
