Breaking news: The process, which started with Finland and Sweden’s announcement that they had decided to apply for NATO membership, became one of the first agenda items in the world. Turkey has emphasized that it does not take kindly to the membership of the two countries due to terrorist links. President Erdogan, after the delegations of countries announced that they would visit Ankara, said, “Sorry, do not get tired” and shared that he did not have a positive opinion. A warm message came from NATO. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that “problems will be resolved”.
“WE ARE IN DIALOGUE WITH TURKEY”
Stoltenberg said in his last statement, “The conflict in NATO is not new, the problems will be solved”.
The Secretary General stated that they are in dialogue with Turkey regarding the membership process of Finland and Sweden.
“I am confident that we will reach a swift decision on the joining of Finland and Sweden to NATO,” Stoltenberg said.
