(Finance) – The Senate gave the go-ahead to the Reopening Decree which, after the end of the state of emergency on 31 March, orders the further relaxation of measures contrast at Covid. The votes in favor were 201, 38 against, no abstentions. The text was approved by the Chamber of Deputies on 5 May with some changes on the masks and smart working front compared to the original text.
Until 15 June 2022 the obligation to wear the mask in certain places indoors. There mask FFP2 is prescribed on all means of local public transport it’s at long mileage (trains, airplanes, ferries, subways, trams, buses, etc.) and will also be maintained for indoor shows and sporting events (i.e. cinemas, theaters, concert halls and sports halls). It is also expressly foreseen the obligation to wear respiratory protection devices for workers, users and visitors of health, social-health and social-assistance facilities, including hospitality and long-term care facilities. Mask surgical compulsory in class come on six years up until the end of the school year.
The possibility for private employers to resort to agile work in a simplified form was extended from 30 June to 31 August 2022, regardless of the individual agreements generally required by current legislation. L’vaccination obligationand remains in effect until June 15, 2022 for teachers and school staff, law enforcement agencies and in general all citizens aged 50 and over. But the fulfillment is not considered a requirement for carrying out the work activity. Those who do not vaccinate only incur a one-off penalty of 100 euros. The vaccination obligation is instead extended up to December 31, 2022 for the professionals sanitary and for workers in the health and social-health and welfare sectors, as well as for those who carry out their work in residential, social-welfare and social-health structures. For them, vaccination is instead an essential requirement to carry out the work activity.
The provision also provides for the establishment of a Unit for completing the vaccination campaign which will operate until the end of 2022. The Director of the Unit – the Major General of the Army, Thomas Petroni – was appointed by decree of the President of the Council of Ministers. The Unit makes use of part of the staff of the Support Structure for the activities of the extraordinary Commissioner, as well as of staff in service at the Ministry of Health.
