Antequera continues its fairy tale to the final

The fairy tale that UMA Antequera lives in the Copa del Rey has no end. The Second Division team from Malaga, the first in this category to enter a Final Four, beat a First Division team, Santa Coloma, for the fourth time (3-1) (before he left behind Burela, Zaragoza and Ribera Navarra), and got into the match for the title this Sunday (9:00 p.m.).

Logic said that Santa Coloma was the favorite against a squad made up mostly of young players who are not exclusively dedicated to futsal. And from the outset the most plausible script was fulfilled, with a goal after three minutes by Sepe, who swung around the area until he found room to release a whiplash that entered the right corner.

The Catalan team seemed in control of the situation, moving well against a rival that in principle could end up giving in through wear and tear. But in the middle of the first half, after a warning from Cobarro, the dynamics changed with the equalizer, which Óscar signed by defining under the legs to a pass from Burrito. At the edge of the break, Cobarro made up for the wasted opportunity previously with another definition of pipe.

Santa Coloma climbed lines at the exit of the locker room, but UMA came out of the pressure well and manufactured cons like the one that caused the goal that opened the gap. Drahovsky lost it and in the two against one Óscar found only Burrito to finish off. The situation was already critical and Industrias went to the mountain in the final minutes, playing without a goalkeeper in attack. Antequera had several opportunities to make more blood. He didn’t take advantage of them, but he didn’t concede anything back either. On Sunday the most modest of a modest Cup can reign.
