(Finance) – The operational phase is underway of the trial program “Smarter Italy”, ffunded and promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of University and Research and the Department for Digital Transformation, implemented by the Agency for Digital Italy. The first call was launched today – with an amount of 8.5 million euros – under the “Smart Mobility” to improve the sustainable mobility of the Italian Municipalities through the experimentation with new technologies.
With a equipment beyond 90 million eurosthe “Smarter Italy” program aims to promote innovation “by stimulating the world of business and research to create new solutions to respond to the most complex social challenges in the areas of mobility, well-being, culture and environmental sustainability “explains a joint note. 11 medium and large cities, called “Smart Cities”, and 12 smaller cities, called “Borghi del Futuro” are involved in the experimentation. Participants in this first call will have to devise an innovative platform to support the urban mobility of the territories involved that have expressed their needs in terms of traffic, pollution, liveability of historic centers and usability of industrial districts.
Announcement “Innovative solutions for decision support with predictive / adaptive functions for Smart Mobility” – they can participate large companies, SMEs and start-ups, universities and research centers, third sector, by submitting your application by 30 June 2022, through the dedicated portal. The platform, as such, will constitute a national infrastructure, composed of monitoring, management and simulation tools that will allow to support, verify and validate decisions in the sector of policies, strategies and interventions for the mobility, also with a view to pursuing the objectives set in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
