20-year-old Andrey Ushakov is a surrendered Russian soldier. Describing what he experienced and saw during the Russia-Ukraine war, the young man explained how demoralized young soldiers could not stand the horrors of the war and used their weapons to commit suicide.
FUCKED IN THE HEAD
He claimed that some soldiers were trying to get them to be sent home by seriously injuring themselves rather than dying. Ushakov said he knew two people who took their own lives out of desperation because they could no longer cope with the horrors of war. He described how a soldier shot his gun and shot himself in the head after seeing a horrific sight.
THEY DID A LACK OF SUPPLY
The young man said that everyone was panicking and wanted to leave, but there was no way around it. He added that besides the fear of death while fighting the Ukrainians, there was also a shocking lack of supplies. “There was no food, no water. Often we were given very little food. There were days when three of us shared a dry soldier’s bread.” said.
MORE PRISONERS CHOOSE THIS WAY
When asked what rank were the soldiers at the front who committed suicide, Ushakov replied that these were just ordinary men and mostly privates.
