On an annual basis, the growth in inflation was 8.3%, higher than the + 8.1% of the previous month and the + 8.5% expected by the market.

The “core “rate, ie the consumer price index without the more volatile components such as food and energy, most observed by the Fed, recorded an increase of 0.6% on a monthly basis, compared to 0.3% the previous month and the + 0.4% expected. The trend figure shows an increase of 6.2%, also in this case above expectations (+ 6%). The previous month’s figure was + 6.5%.
