Capcom chose to stay quiet for a while after some delays, but 2022 could be the year of Resident Evil Re:Verse.
A tweet shared by Gematsu surprised us. The Google Stadia version of the PvP game Resident Evil Re:Verse, which is planned to come with Residen Evil:Village, has been released by the European rating board PEGI. rated.
The game was first announced in January last year and was delayed to the summer of 2021 exactly three months after that. Two months after the original intended release date, Capcom said “the team will continue to work to deliver a seamless gaming experience,” and the game has been shifted to 2022.
Resident Evil Re:Verse may appear soon
If the developer of the game is on Capcom’s side, although no release year has been confirmed about this production, a relatively finished version must be submitted to the board for PEGI to rate a game. In short, even if there is no final version, there is a game test with a large content completed, so it is expected that the production will not take too long.
The PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC version was already rated exactly one year ago, on May 7th. But that was the release date of Resident Evil: Village. Because Re:Verse was originally designed as a multiplayer mode within RE:Village.
Until an official announcement by Capcom, these developments will be just rumors, but the obvious rating process shows that Re:Verse has made at least some progress. The developer made an announcement that updates and developments would be shared in the future, but Capcom has not made any statements about the game so far.
