Heitman reacted with surprise to the award. “I hadn’t prepared anything, you hear my stammering,” she said after thanking all kinds of people, including her wife and parents. “I also want to thank all the writers and I want to thank the literature. One book is fantastic, but many books are even more fantastic.”
