(Finance) – The shareholders’ meeting of the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Milano (BCC Milan) approved with the favorable vote of 98% of the voters the merger by incorporation of BCC Bergamo, whose shareholders had given the green light to the operation on 5 May. The new subject will be operational from 13 June and will have the name of BCC Milano, based in Carugate. A specific Commercial Area management will be set up in the Bergamo branch.
The new company will have its own funds of 374 million euros and will be the largest Cooperative Bank in Lombardy in terms of territory, volumes and assets. The new bank will be able to rely on 27 thousand shareholders, 112 thousand customers and 66 branches in seven Lombard provinces (Milan, Monza and Brianza, Lodi, Como, Lecco, Cremona and Bergamo).
