The White House announced the new sanctions that will be imposed on Russia over the Ukraine war, in a written statement after the G7 leaders held online today with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Stating that the leaders will continue to support Ukraine at the negotiation table and on the ground, it was stated that the sanctions imposed on Russia so far have destroyed the gains the country has made in the last 15 years.
SANCTION FROM USA TO RUSSIAN TELEVISIONS
Pointing out that the USA, European Union (EU) and G7 countries have agreed on a new sanctions package against Russia today, it was noted that the USA will impose sanctions on 3 television channels that are under the full or partial control of the Russian state.
It was reported that the said televisions were Channel One Russia, Russia-1 and NTV Broadcasting Company.
On the other hand, it has been reported that the US administration will also prohibit Americans from providing accounting, credit, company management or management consultancy to people related to Russia, thus harming the Russian elites.
G7 COUNTRIES PROHIBIT OIL IMPORT FROM RUSSIA
On the other hand, in the statement reminding that the USA has already banned oil imports from Russia, it was stated that the G7 countries will gradually end or completely ban oil imports from Russia today.
