The Modern Warfare 2 release date was kept a secret. No statement was made about the game, but when the fans of the series, which broke sales records, hear the announcement date, it seems that this silent wait will leave its place to great excitement.
A new report by renowned researcher Tom Henderson, published by Exputer, says that Modern Warfare 2 is “confirmed by its sources” that it will appear this June. While it is estimated that the Summer Game Fest event on June 9 will be the date of the Modern Warfare 2 announcement, another date that is talked about as a possibility is June 2.

If the leaks are true, the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 trailer may drop on June 2, and the announcement of the release date seems to take place on June 9. In the meantime, fans of the series are eagerly awaiting when the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer mode will appear.

Henderson’s sources indicate that the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer reveal will take place in August. This would be pretty much in line with the information that Call of Duty has uncovered in recent years.
None of these leaks have been officially confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward, and even if the leaks are plausible and come from a solid source like Henderson, it’s still a good move to be skeptical.
Henderson has a proven track record when it comes to Call of Duty series leaks, so he’s a more reliable source than anyone who makes such claims. When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes out, let’s see how many of Henderson’s claims about the game will come true.
