There has been a development that closely concerns iPhone owners. Apple, which has been the subject of many lawsuits before, has this time settled in a lawsuit filed by a group of iPhone 4S owners. The main reason for the lawsuit was iOS 9.
APPLE WILL PAY $15 COMPENSATION
According to the news of MacRumors; the class action in question was originally filed in December 2015 by plaintiffs representing a group of iPhone 4S owners living in the New York and New Jersey regions of the United States. However, a move came from Apple to resolve the case.
Apple has allocated a total of $20 million to compensate iPhone 4S owners in New York and New Jersey who said their device underperformed after updating to iOS 9. As a result, the company will pay $15 per device.
CLAIM “LOW PERFORMANCE ON IPHONE”
People who have complaints about this have, as far as is known, downloaded iOS 9 or any version of it to their iPhone 4S. However, they encountered a significant decrease in the performance of their iPhone 4S.
Apple marketed iOS 9 with the slogan “The most advanced mobile experience. Now even more.” The plaintiffs’ claim was that Apple was wrongly marketing this for the iPhone 4S.
A website will be created where customers in that region, who reportedly believe they have this right, can submit a form and enter their name, email, iPhone 4S serial number (if possible) and mailing address. This payment is not valid for users in Turkey.
