what date for the 2022 edition

EUROVISION JUNIOR 2022. The Eurovision Junior Song Contest 2022 will be held in Armenia at the end of the year. Here is everything we know about the next edition.

[Mis à jour le 22 décembre 2021 à 11h25] Eurovision Junior returns in 2022 for its 20th edition. After the victory of Maléna Fox, the singing competition will take place in Armenia. For now, the precise date has yet to be determined. Note, however, that it will most likely take place at the end of the year, as was the case for previous editions. These usually take place in December.

For the moment, only Armenia, host country, Bulgaria, Spain, Georgia and the Netherlands should participate in Eurovision Junior 2022. After the good rankings of France, it seems likely that the Hexagon sends a representative. However, we will have to wait for France Television’s confirmation and the candidate’s announcement to find out more.

“Tic Tac”, Enzo’s song for France at Eurovision Junior

We do not yet know the name or the song that will represent France at the next edition of Eurovision Junior. During the last edition, it was Enzo and his song “Tic Tac” which represented itself, allowing France to rank in third place. Aged 13, Enzo was born in Yvelines in 2008. His father was an airplane pilot, he grew up in several parts of the world: Macao, Hong-Kong, and of course France. The Eurovision Junior candidate is also a fan of football and tennis, but it is his passion for singing that has taken hold since he was a child.

The ranking of the last edition of Eurovision Junior

After Valentina’s victory last year, all hopes were high for a historic double for France at Eurovision 2021. With his song “Tic Tac”, Enzo could in any case believe in his chances. With 224 points received from the voters, it was the candidate of Armenia, Maléna, who imposed herself as the big winner of Eurovision 2021. Following her, the Polish candidate, Sara James, finished second with 218 points while Enzo, the representative of France, comes third with a total of 187 points.

It should be noted that Enzo had received the majority of votes from the professional jury. It is the public vote that allowed Maléna and Sara James to overtake him. However, Enzo takes this observation as a victory in itself. “I was very stressed. It was great to see that the professional jury put me in first place. In my heart I know I won.” Either way, Enzo doesn’t have to be ashamed of his performance at Eurovision Junior 2021. “I was very proud to represent France”.
