House of the Dragon, the spin-off series of Game of Thrones, arrives in the United States on August 21, 2022 and in France, on SCO, August 22. A few months before this highly anticipated broadcast, HBO has lifted the veil on a new teaser trailer for House of the Dragon. We discover the characters of the series as his Viserys Targaryen I, king of Westeros, and among others his proclaimed heiress Rhaenyra Targaryen. Obviously, his future ascension to the throne is not to the liking of all who could rebel as this trailer suggests that we invite you to discover below.

The date of the series has been made official on the official social networks of HBO : it is on August 21, 2022 that the first episode of this fiction dedicated to the Targaryen dynasty will be discovered. In France, the series will be broadcast on OCS on the night of August 22 simultaneously, ie from 3am.

House of the Dragon is set to take place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The protagonists of the fantasy series will therefore not be present. This prequel will follow in particular the Targaryen dynasty, the ancestors of Daenerys. Several actors have been officially announced for the cast of House of the Dragons: Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders, The Third Day) will play King Viserys I, Matt Smith Daemon Targaryen, Emma d’Arcy Rhaenyra Targaryen while Olivia Cooke and Rhys Ifans will play representatives of the Hightower family.
